December 12th | The Great Elf Sled Race

It was a crisp, sunny morning in North Pole Village, and the hill behind Santa’s workshop sparkled with fresh snow. Three elves—Jingle, Spark, and Holly—were ready for the annual sled race. The whole village had gathered to watch, sipping hot cocoa and cheering for their favorite racer.

12 sledding elves“I’ve got my turbo sled,” Spark bragged, pointing to his shiny red sled with tiny candy-cane rockets on the sides.

“Well, I have my lucky sled,” said Holly, patting her wooden sled covered in bright star stickers. “It’s never let me down!”

Jingle just grinned. His sled was a wobbly old one that looked like it had been glued back together more than once. “It’s not about the sled,” he said. “It’s about skill!”

The three lined up at the top of the hill as the crowd counted down. “Three… two… one… GO!”

With a push, they launched off the starting line. Spark’s turbo sled shot ahead, leaving a cloud of glittery snow behind him. Holly leaned forward, steering like a pro, while Jingle held tight as his sled wobbled and bounced.

Halfway down, Spark’s sled zoomed too fast around a curve and landed in a snowbank. “Oops!” he laughed, brushing snow off his hat. “Guess I overdid the rockets!”

Holly took the lead, her sled gliding smoothly. But suddenly, a mischievous gust of wind sent her spinning like a top. “Whoa!” she cried, laughing as she slid backward down the hill.

That left Jingle. His sled wobbled and creaked, but he leaned left, then right, keeping it steady. “Come on, old buddy,” he said to his sled. “We’ve got this!” As Jingle approached the finish line, Holly and Spark both scrambled back into the race. The three sleds raced neck-and-neck, the crowd roaring with excitement.

With a final burst of speed (and a little luck), Jingle crossed the line first, his sled skidding to a stop in a cloud of snow. The crowd erupted in cheers!

Holly and Spark high-fived him. “Great race!” said Holly.

“You’re the sled master,” Spark admitted, grinning.

Jingle held up a trophy made of marshmallows and candy canes. “It’s not about the sled,” he said with a wink. “It’s about the fun!”
