Santa’s Magical Hot Cocoa Recipe

The North Pole was buzzing with holiday cheer, and nothing made Santa happier than whipping up a batch of his famous hot cocoa. It wasn’t just any cocoa—it was magical, with a touch of holiday sparkle!   Here’s how Santa made it:

  • 4 cups of milk (whole milk makes it extra creamy!)
  • ½ cup of heavy cream
  • ½ cup of cocoa powder
  • ⅓ cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt (for balance!)
  • A sprinkle of cinnamon (Santa’s secret spice!)
  • 1 cup of mini marshmallows (plus extras for topping)
  • A sprinkle of crystallized sugar on the marshmallows
  • Optional: whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or candy cane bits for garnish

Directions for Santa’s Cocoa

  1. Warm the Milk
Santa poured the milk and heavy cream into a large pot, heating the mixture on medium-low until tiny bubbles appeared at the edges. “Patience is key,” Santa always said. “You don’t want it too hot—just cozy warm!”
  2. Mix the Cocoa Magic
In a separate bowl, Santa whisked together the cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon. “A little cinnamon keeps the cocoa cheerful!” he chuckled.
  3. Combine with Care
Santa slowly added the dry mixture to the warm milk, whisking continuously. He didn’t stop until everything was smooth and chocolaty.
  4. Add the Magic Touch
Once the cocoa was silky, he stirred in the vanilla extract and let the cocoa simmer for two minutes—just enough time for the elves to gather by the fire.
  5. Melt the Marshmallows
Santa stirred in one cup of mini marshmallows, letting them melt into the cocoa. This made the cocoa creamy with just the right amount of sweetness.
  6. Serve with Holiday Flair
Santa poured the cocoa into mugs, topping each one with a mountain of marshmallows. Then, for extra fun, he added whipped cream, a sprinkle of chocolate shavings, and a candy cane stir stick.

“Hot cocoa is more than a drink,” Santa said, handing out mugs. “It’s a hug in a cup!”

As the elves sipped the cocoa, they felt its warmth fill their hearts. Outside, snow fell softly, but inside, it was pure holiday magic.
