Treasure hunting is exciting and has captured people's imaginations for a very long time. This story takes you on an adventure to the bottom of the ocean to find lost treasures. It starts with the Rooswijk, a Dutch ship that sank in the English Channel in 1740. The ship was carrying lots of silver coins. Today, scientists use special tools to find and dig up the wreck. They found not only coins but also clues about what happened to the ship during a big storm. Next, the story moves to the Atocha, a Spanish ship that sank near Florida in 1622. The Atocha was carrying gold, silver, and emeralds. For many years, treasure hunters have been searching for the Atocha and its treasures. One family, the Fishers, spent a long time looking for the ship and finally found it! The last part of the story is about the HMS Edinburgh, a British ship that sank during World War II. The Edinburgh had a lot of gold bars on board. Divers had to go very deep into the cold ocean to find the gold. It was dangerous work, but the divers found the gold and brought it back up. Each of these stories shows how exciting and interesting it is to search for lost treasures. The ships also have important history behind them. Finding the wrecks and treasures helps us learn more about the past.
