After entering the cave for a practice session, heavy rains flooded the tunnels, leaving them isolated for ten days. Thai Navy SEALs and international divers worked tirelessly to locate and assist the boys, who were found alive in Chamber 9, having survived by drinking water dripping from the cave walls. A meticulous rescue operation was launched, involving the sedation of the boys to prevent panic during the dangerous underwater extraction through flooded passages known as sumps. Despite the challenges, including the tragic death of former SEAL Saman Kunan, the divers successfully extracted all 13 individuals, showcasing extraordinary bravery and teamwork. The rescue captivated the world, highlighting the resilience and determination of both the rescuers and the boys.
