Pixar was created when Steve Jobs purchased the computer division from George Lucas. The collaboration with Disney started at the beginning of the company as they worked with Disney on CAPS (Computer Animation Production System). “Luxo Jr.” (1986) was the first Pixar short film which debuted at Siggraph. Five years later Pixar and Disney agreed to release at least one animated film. In 1995, the film is finally competed and “Toy Story” is born, forever changing animated films. Disney finally acquired Pixar in 2006, twenty years after the company was first formed.
