Pixar Animation Studios is a renowned American computer animation that wa founded in 1979 as part of Lucasfilm’s computer division. Pixar became an independent company in 1986 with funding from Steve Jobs, but in 2006 it was acquired by Walt Disney Studios. Pixar created the first commercially successful computer-animated feature film, “Toy Story” (1995).
